Discover our New Ship: Magellan Explorer Video

We are happy to report that the construction of our new ship, Magellan Explorer, a modern expedition vessel, is well underway in its shipyard in Valdivia, Chile. Built to the latest polar code specifications, the ship is set to sail on its inaugural voyage on November 28, 2019. Currently, 90 percent of the ship’s overall structure is complete. The diagram below provides a visual reference of the sections completed and assembled as of December 5, 2018 (in red) and of those sections currently in production (in green).

All cabins will have private balconies except two in the Porthole category. The ship features a glass-enclosed observation lounge, a spacious and stylish dining room, a well-stocked bar, library, meeting room, gym, and sauna. In addition, the forward-facing observation deck is accessible to guests to offer proximity to marine wildlife while onboard.
