Fly Over the Drake Passage
Reach Antarctica on a comfortable two-hour private flight and explore the Peninsula. Antarctica21 pioneered Antarctic air-cruises over two decades ago, saving time by flying over the Drake Passage, and exploring Antarctica on small vessels.

Explore Antarctica on a Boutique Vessel
Our small expedition ships are more like private yachts, offering direct access to areas along the Antarctic shore that larger ships simply can't reach. With less than 100 guests onboard, you get on and off the ship without waiting in line, so your time ashore is focused on savoring every moment of a travel experience unlike any other.

Travel with Seasoned Antarctic Experts
We maintain a remarkable 1:6 guest-to guide ratio on our air-cruises. Travel alongside polar experts with decades of Antarctic experience. From seasoned expedition guides to veteran ship captains, our passionate team ensures your journey to the White Continent is as enriching as it is extraordinary.

Explorers House
Our exclusive expedition center is designed to enhance guests experience in Punta Arenas, Chile. Here, you will attend briefings, and get answers to any questions you may have so you will arrive to Antarctica confident and ready for your adventure.

Instead of spending two days sailing across the notoriously rough Drake Passage, our air-cruises let you fly over it in just two hours. From Punta Arenas, Chile, you'll board our chartered aircraft and land at King George Island in Antarctica, where you'll embark your boutique expedition ship.
This innovative approach means you spend more time exploring Antarctica and less time getting there, all while avoiding potential seasickness in the Drake Passage. Plus, with a maximum of 76 guests per voyage, our boutique ships offer a more personalized Antarctic experience.
The Antarctic travel season runs during the austral summer, when temperatures are milder along the Antarctic Peninsula and there are extended hours of daylight. Our Antarctic air-cruises operate from late November through March, each month offering unique highlights: early season reveals pristine snow and courting penguins, mid-season brings long days and peak wildlife activity, while late season offers dramatic sunsets and whale watching opportunities. With changing ice conditions and wildlife patterns throughout the season, every journey to Antarctica is distinctive and rewarding.
Austral summer weather in Antarctica means mostly mild temperatures, averaging around 0°C (32°F), although sometimes it may feel lower because of the wind chill factor. You can expect cold, sunny days and brisk winds, which may turn into stormy weather and even a few snow flurries or snow. You should be prepared for quick changes in weather conditions.
